MY TAKE ON THE AWARD SHOW

I watched the event on live stream. Some things I was pleased with, some I wasn’t so pleased. Like the sitting arrangement; the dignitaries had conspicuously different chairs from the rest of the crowd. Emphasis on CONSPICUOUS. I know we ought to give honor to whom honor is due but that segregation took away from the event. The beauty in such award shows is that everyone is on same platform. But heck, what do I know?! Na so ‘naidjzaa-delta’ dey roll. lol.  Some who watched on TV said the sound was poor. I experienced the same poor sound , it only came out loud when an artist was about to hit the track. Someone also said there was power interruption during the live event. Anyway, the ushers did very well; good-looking and courteous. I spotted some Nollywood heavyweights in the crowd; Kanayo O. Kanayo, Nkem Owoh etc. Were you there or were you watching from home? How was the event, generally? Send your comments.

I’m a little bit disappointed at the turn of events. From the nominations I thought the Ghanaian movie The Cursed One would carry the day in many areas including the best movie award.
